The Green School are working hard to get the school garden finished.

5th Class went foraging in Griffeen Park for berries, haws and rosehips. We were very impressed with what they brought back and cooked. It's good to see kids making healthy alternatives to sugary treats and using things from the environment to cure ailments. One boy got stung by nettles and used a dock leaf to ease the sting.

The Green School this year wants to raise awareness about the need to recycle. 5th Class enjoyed a talk on the need to recycle from a WEEE representative. All classes have now recieved a box to put old batteries into so they can be recycled.

We were so pleased that some past pupils came back to show us, in Maggie's class, the plans for the new school garden. Thanks guys! You were really informative.
