Gallery
/ Áiléar Fifth Class held
a sale during Fair Trade Fortnight to raise money. They kindly donated
the money to Andrea's Third Class as they are putting on a play about
child labour and needed to raise some money. They sold Fair Trade goods and traditional food from different countries. There was so much variety.
We visited Marino
Teaching College. The student teachers had lots of fun activites planned
for us. It was a great day out.
We made Kristingles
which is an old Moravian custom. Seasons Greetings in some of our home languages.
We made posters
with our Home Languages on them. Other schools came to our school on the 21st of December to celebrate the Festival of Light and the Winter Solstice with us. The school looked amazing with all the different displays. See for yourself...
.We were very busy picking ivy for our Winter Solstice display.
Ta da.... it was worth all the hard work. Our display looked fab.
Our artist of the month was Brancusi. Can you guess where he was from? There's a clue in the writing below?
We made Christmas Tree decorations from salt dough. After we cooked them in the oven we painted them and took them home to hang on our trees.

We dressed up for Halloween, don't we look great? We'd love to dress like this everyday, do you think Tomas would mind?!
Look at our fab Autumn table. We love all the different colours, they look beautiful together.
The Junior Infants helped Liz to cook mashed potatoes that have been grown on the school grounds. They tasted delicious.
The kids are doing a smashing job of looking after the school's compost bin.
Anna came in to talk to us about her books. She read to us some from her books and we really enjoyed it.
Some of the children brought in their traditional Hindu clothes that they wear for Diwali. They really are very beautiful.
Run, run as fast as you can.....................we made gingerbread men with Liz.
The boys are busy with their experiments.
Concern invited us to their Kite Fest in Smithfield as we made kites to fly against child labour and we wrote plays against child labour last year with Julie and Orla.
