We went to Marino and spoke to the men and women training to become teachers. We told them all about our countries and the different languages we speak at home. We also talked to them about the work we do on equality and justice in our school.

We love cooking and baking in Susan's class.

We made a really easy chocolate cake. Yum, yum.

We had some delicious food to celebrate Chinese New Year. It's the Year of the Dragon.

Liz's class took at trip into town to see PJ Lynch paint in Hodges Figgis window.

There's no rest for us. We're out in the school garden whenever we get the chance.

In Liz's class we are commited to our school garden. We planted pak choi, spinach, beetroot and chicory (autumn vegetables) into the Triangle Garden with the help of Michael who has been fantastic. There are now baths and beds for classes to plant their own fruit and flowers in.

Liz's classs went to Books Beyond Borders at the NLI. We read some fantastic books and had a great time, just look at the pictures below.

A rep from the Simon Community came in to speak to us in assembly on Friday. They do so much good work for the homeless that we have decided to make next Friday (14th Oct) Jersey Day. We are going to wear a jersey and bring in €1 to donate to them.

Liz's class went into town to Fighting Words and had a great day in the writing workshops.

Look at the fab artwork we did in Liz's class.

Joe's class went to Wicklow to climb the Sugarloaf. It was exhausting but we loved it.

It only looks like a little hill from here!

Joe keeps our spirits up.

We took note of all the beautiful nature around us.

What a view.

Almost there...

Joe congratulates us as we reach the summit.

Then we congratulate ourselves. What an achievement!

Wow.

In Liz's class we went to Griffeen Park on a foraging mission and collected baskets of rosehips and haws and
blackberries and elderberries.
Mmm, delicious berries.

Members of the Green School were there to over see the berry picking.

We then cooked the fruits with Elaine and made jam and healthy fruit winders.

We're very serious about recycling in 5th class. A rep from WEEE came in to talk to us about it.

We took a trip into town to see Derek Landy. He talked to us and signed books for us. We really enjoyed meeting him.

What a treat,Niall de Burca came into our school on the 4th day back to school!! He was hilarious. He told some fantastic stories and even got some of us involved.

Clap your hands if you think Niall's stories are funny!

Look at the budding actors...

... and actresses!!!

You won't see us sitting this quiet very often.
