We made Rangoli patterns in Alison's class and put them on the ground outside the classroom door to welcome visitors during Diwali.

We made pictograms in maths to show our favourite zoo animals, the monkey is the most popular.

We love art in Alison's class. We made a Monster Mob - each of us created our own monster using oil pastels on an acetate. These were layered to create the Monster Mob.

October's artist of the month was Julian Opie Portraits - each of us drew our partner's portrait in the style of Julian Opie, then we wrote a few sentences to introduce them.

Fashion Shop - August Macke (German expressionist). We looked at and discussed some of his work. We were given a square section of his painting "Fashion Shop", we had to mix paint to produce matching colours and paint a larger version of the section we were given. The pieces were put back together to create their "Fashion Shop".

The Enormous Crocodile - we read Roald Dahl's "The Enormous Crocodile". Everyone worked in groups to create their own crocodile and to write about the Enormous Crocodile's four nasty tricks.
