We had great fun playing hurling with Johnny from Lucan Sarsfields.

South Dublin County Council very kindly gave us 2 Beech Trees to plant for National Tree Week. Brendan told us lots of interesting facts, like hurly sticks are made from Oak Trees. Jerry, the Park Ranger, told us how to care for our new trees.

We helped plant the trees.

Wow, this shovel is heavy!

Look at the damage done to the trees by rabbits.

Put your back into it, we're almost finished!

We made Mardi Gras masks with Julie. Mardi Gras means Fat Tuesday. Fat Tuesday is also known as pancake Tuesday. Yum, yum.

We celebrated Martin Luther King Day. We learned all about him and we wrote our own 'I have a dream' speeches.

In science we did some fab mixing experiments. We mixed paint to get different colours. Did you know yellow and red make orange?

We mixed blue and red and we got......can you guess?

We mixed lots of things with water, like smarties, sugar and oil.

We also mixed vinegar and bread soda.

We imaged we were explorers and wrote our own adventure stories. Look out Indiana Jones!

We made New Year's Resolutions. Lets hope we can keep them.

We made cave paintings using tea bags to stain the paper first. Our paintings are based on the Altameria Caves in Spain.

We had a great time at the Science Show with Declan. We got to take part in lots of experiments.

We did some cool art work on the artist of the month - Constantine Brancusi. We looked at his most famous pieces of work - The Kiss, Bird in Space and The Prayer. We also looked at the Romanian text Siobhan had on her display. Siobhan came into Denise's class to do some really fun clay work.

Julie's class dressed up for Halloween. Don't they look spooky?

......and pretty too.

Arrrragh me hearties!!!

Liz helped Julie's class to make colcannon for Halloween. They peeled the potatoes.....

......and chopped the scallions.

The girls in Denise's class sang and acted out their favourite song - 'Do you ears hang low?'

We created this amazing Autumn display using real leaves and collage art work.

We celebrated Diwali by making mosaics using crepe paper.

We were writing all about ourselves in Irish with Denise.

We wrote what we thought of each other on flower petals. It was so nice to read lovely things about ourselves, written by our friends.
