The following are pictures of Displays that several classes combined to create for special occassions.

This week (May 18th-22nd) is Africa Week. Shelley came into some of our classes to talk about her home in Africa and to do some fun art lessons with us. Some parents helped cook food on Friday for the African story tellers who came in to talk to us.

Below are the story tellers. We loved their stories and had lots of questions for them.

Below are the story tellers - Susan (wearing the turban) and Aisha (wearing the hijab) and Siobhán Parkinson, multi-award winning author of children’s books in Irish and in English and Katy from Hugh Lane Gallery. Siobhán worked with the storytellers on a book that is being produced by Hugh Lane – it’s their stories with their illustrations too, in full-colour, out mid-June.

This week (March 30th to April 3rd) is Spanish Week. Teachers, parents and friends are going to teach us spanish, cook spanish food and sing spanish songs with us.

The staff celebrated Chinese New year in style - literally!!
